Jordyn is a senior Environmental Science and Biology double major at CSU and has a passion to maintain environmental integrity. She has done this at Cleveland State through the student organization, the Student Environmental Movement, by leading the planting of a 300 square yard pollinator garden on campus.
Sustainability has always been important to Jordyn, for she has been the environmental steward in her family for as long as she can remember by encouraging recycling, environmentally considerate shopping and in general, by being a ‘tree hugger’. Once she graduates with her Bachelor’s in May of 2017, she will continue her education at Kent State University to pursue a Ph.D. with a focus on aquatic ecology. In general, her goal is to contribute to the scientific knowledge of the hydrology of Northeast Ohio to best protect the water quality of the Great Lakes.
